About Deknudt
Deknudt Mirror Works is a family run business in Deerlijk which is in the Flanders region of Belgium. It has been producing fine mirrors since 1946 when Mr Franz Deknudt opened a mirror factory there and now the Deknudt team has expanded and they are experts in all the processes involved in making the highest quality mirrors. These include refining the glass, silvering the glass, creating a variety of finishes like flat edges, pencil edges and bevelling as well as crafting and embellishing beautiful frames. It is also apparent that Deknudt Mirror Works' sister company Deknudt Mirrors also boast exceptional designers who conjure inspired designs for the outstanding decorative mirrors in the collection.
Only glass from the finest European glass ovens is used in the production of Deknudt mirrors. This glass is refined and then expertly silvered to produce the perfect, crystal clear reflections that characterise this range. The finest mirrors are only achieved by depositing an ultra-fine layer of silver on completely flawless glass. The mirrors will stay looking beautiful for longer because the latest techniques combined with Deknudt's huge experience ensures that the finished mirrors are highly resistant to corrosion. Exceptional craftsmanship produces the wonderful frames with gorgeous finishes and patinas that provide the artisan charm and designer looks that would surely grace any home.
